All drivers must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid driver’s license along with proof of full-coverage auto insurance. Drivers aged 21 to 24 may operate a vehicle only when accompanied by a passenger who is 25 years of age or older. Passengers must meet age and height requirements depending on the vehicle type. A security deposit may be required at the time of rental. By renting a UTV from Arizona Adventures, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with off-road driving. You agree to operate the vehicle responsibly, adhere to all trail and safety guidelines, and assume full liability for any damage or injury that may occur during your rental period. Helmets and safety gear are provided and strongly recommended. Arizona Adventures reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears impaired, unfit to operate the vehicle, or unwilling to follow safety protocols.
What experience level do I need to rent or drive a UTV?
No off-road experience is required, just a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a car. Our staff will walk you through safety procedures, operating tips, and trail guidance before you head out, ensuring you feel completely confident behind the wheel.
What’s the minimum age for renting, driving, and riding?
The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Drivers aged 21–24 may operate a vehicle only if accompanied by the 25-year-old renter. All passengers must be at least 5 years old.
Are guided tours available for beginners?
We currently offer self-guided adventures only. Each UTV comes equipped with a GPS loaded with color-coded trails and popular routes. Our team will help match you to a trail that fits your comfort level and adventure goals before you take off.
Are there special considerations for first-time riders?
We provide a thorough orientation covering basic controls, terrain awareness, and safe driving practices. You’ll leave feeling ready for an unforgettable day on the trails.
What should I pack or prepare before coming?
We recommend bringing:
Are pets allowed?
For everyone’s safety and insurance purposes, pets are not allowed in the rental vehicles or on the trails.
How does the rental process work?
You can book online or over the phone at (928) 517-7771. When you arrive, we’ll finalize any remaining paperwork, review your UTV’s operation and GPS system, and answer any last-minute questions before you hit the trail.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards and cash. A credit card must be used for the required $3,000 security deposit.
Do you offer insurance or damage coverage?
Yes. Basic insurance and damage coverage are included in your rental.
Are there any restrictions on vehicle use?
Yes. Our UTVs are not permitted on highways and may only travel on paved roads for 5–7 miles at a time to connect trailheads or refueling stops.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Operate your UTV just as you would a car. Stay alert, drive responsibly, and follow all posted trail signs. Before you depart, our team will review best practices and make sure you’re comfortable handling the vehicle and navigating the terrain.
Is safety gear provided?
Yes. A helmet, required for insurance purposes, and safety goggles are provided.
Do vehicles include maps or GPS guidance?
Every UTV is equipped with a GPS navigation unit pre-loaded with color-coded trails, which you can also view on our website. You’ll always know where you are and where you’re headed.
What local weather considerations should we keep in mind?
Yes, mainly seasonal ones. Monsoon season should be checked before riding, and some snow is possible in the winter. We are open for reservations all year long, so you can take advantage of the different seasons and their beauty in the Rim Country.
What should we do in case of an emergency?
For serious emergencies, call 911 immediately. For minor issues, contact our office at (928) 517-7771. Cell reception is typically good on most trails; if not, move to higher ground for a stronger signal.
How long does a typical trail adventure take?
Most guests explore for 2–4 hours, depending on the route, pace, and stops along the way. However, many of our guests enjoy booking a full day, multiple days, or week-long rentals, too. Call to discuss these rates!
What’s the best trail for beginners?
Because it is one of the closest and most accessible trails, we often recommend the Houston Loop Trail for a scenic, confidence-builder for first-time riders!
What are the differences between the Star Valley, Payson, and Rye trail areas?
Control Road Trails are quieter and less traveled, perfect for solitude seekers. Rye and Star Valley offer incredible views and a mix of open terrain and forest trails. No matter where you go, you’ll find stunning Rim Country scenery at every turn.
Can I take photos or videos on the trails?
Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to capture and share your adventure, just pull over safely before taking photos. Tag us on Instagram and Facebook (@Ridearizonaadventures) so we can feature your ride.
